Our Events
Introduction
Each year the Friends organise events in the Orchard to involve the local community and enhance their awareness and enjoyment of this special green space. These events mark the seasons and typically include a spring event to enjoy the trees in blossom and the carpets of flowers in the meadow, and an autumn event in October to gather and press the apples.
Upcoming Events
2026 - AGM & Social Gathering
This year your committee are taking a different approach to the AGM. We’ll still be following due process but intend to experiment with combining the meeting with an early summer social in the orchard.
This event will take place at the Ridge Hill entrance to the orchard at 11.00am on Sunday 5 July 2026. We look forward to seeing you there.

Recent Events
Apple Pressing 2025!
Apple pressing was held from 10:00 onwards on Saturday 04 October at the orchard.
We pressed the years crop to produce fresh, delicious juice offered with local honey, chutney, cakes and beeswax mix candles - all available for a donation.
Entry was free and everyone welcomed!
2025 Annual General Meeting

Join us for Apple Pressing 2024!
We've reluctantly cancelled Sunday due to the wet weather forecast but Saturday will now be twice as good with picking from 09:30 and then pressing of the apples.
You'll still be able to get your fix of juice and produce!
